Mr. Warren Miller has taught music in the East Jackson Community Schools since 1998 following eight years of teaching in his home state of Indiana. Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science (Music Education) from Ball State University and completed his Masters of Eduation at Spring Arbor University. Mr. Miller enlisted in the US Army and Army Reserve in 1984 and continues his service still today.
Mr. Miller's performing ensembles have made numerous appearances at state band, choral, and solo/ensemble festivals, hitting the trifecta in 2011 with the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Advanced Treble Choir all appearing within a 6-week span. In 2010, the EJ Madrigal Choir was named Champion at the Williamsburg, Virginia Feista-val event, adding to the thirteen other 1st Place trophies Mr. Miller's choirs have earned in four visits to this festival. His performance credits include solo work with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus, the Ball State Symphony Orchestra, the 70th Division Army Band, and the Hillsdale Arts Chorale. He has performed in a number of theatrical shows in Hillsdale County as his schedule allows.
His wife, Dawn, teaches elementary music at East Jackson Elementary. They have four boys, the eldest serving as a seaman in the United States Navy, their second son is a music major at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and all of which constantly seem to be making music in between all of their athletic events and busy lives.
