Seventh grade science class is focused on life science. In class this year, we will explore the beginnings of life on earth, how plants and animals have adapted to their current environment, and how they interact with each other. We will also spend class time working on inquiry projects in the form of labs and experiments. Some will be teacher directed while others will be student constructed. Much time will be spent on design, construction, and interpreting graphs, charts, and tables.
Art is a seventh grade course lasting for one semester. All seventh graders will get art some time during the school year. If you are not in art now, you will be in an art class second semester.
Current projects – Fused glass
Upcoming projects – Zentangles, Puzzle making, and Art Appreciation
Each student gets the opportunity to make one small fused glass item during our fused glass unit. The small item may include a piece of jewelry, magnet, ornament, or other decorative item. Additional items may be made for a $5.00 for each item. All money collected for additional items created in art class during the school day is deposited into the East Jackson Middle School art account to be used for additional art supplies.
