Teacher Biography

Welcome back to school!
This marks my 30th year of teaching at East Jackson Secondary School. I taught for East Jackson Adult Education for twelve years before joining the high school staff. I've enjoyed teaching in the East Jackson Community and with the excellent staff here at EJ.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities from Madonna University.
I've been living in this area with my family for the past 39 years. My two sons graduated from Lumen Christi High School, following in the footsteps of their father, Tim. I am a proud graduate of Quincy High School, but have become a Trojan over these last 30 years of service to East Jackson!
I am also the advisor for East Jackson's SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and have been in this capacity for 20 or so years. I enjoy spending time with these kids and helping them to reach their full potential as citizens in our community.
My mission is to develop students with active and creative minds, to establish a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and to have the courage to act on their beliefs. I stress the total development of each student: intellectual, social, emotional, and physical.

GO TROJANS!
