Teacher Biography

Mrs. Miller has been teaching music for 27 years. For the past 21 years, she has taught here at East Jackson Community Schools to include as the high school choral director, the high school assistant symphonic band director, and as the marching band assistant director.

At the middle school, Mrs. Miller has directed the choral program, directed the concert band, and assisted the symphonic band. She has also taught at Memorial Elementary as the music director for the five years and at Robinson three years as the grade general music teacher and assisting with the beginning band class.

Mrs. Miller graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Vocal Performance with a Instrumental minor. She received her teaching certification from Indiana University. Her Masters in Teaching came from Marygrove University. Additionally, she has taken numerous courses in education, music, and technology over the past 15 years.

Mrs. Miller is married to Mr. Warren Miller and they are proud parents of four boys which range in age from 21 to 11. Their eldest son is serving as a seaman in the United States Navy. Their second son is a Music Major at Moody Bible Institute. The two younger boys are very active in their schools, music, sports, and in their youth group activities.

Currently, Mrs. Miller is continuing to teach general music to the students at East Jackson Elementary Young 5's thru 6th grade, assisting with the East Jackson High School Trojan Marching Band., and directing East Jackson Elementary Beginning band musicians.
