Teacher Biography
I am an East Jackson graduate and have taught kindergarten at East Jackson for the past two years. I previously taught preschool for eight years. I enjoy teaching kindergarten and seeing all the new faces each year. Have a great summer and I will see you in the fall!
Classroom Notes
I will be using a new communication tool this year called Seesaw. Each student will have his or her own unique QR code. You can share this code with any on you want to be able to receive updates on your child. My goal is to teach students to take pictures of their work and their accomplishments and share it with their own family members. I will also use Seesaw to send out class reminders and announcements. There are many features to this program I am excited to learn more about and utilize throughout the school year. I also have a classroom Facebook group to share information, news and pictures from our classroom. Be sure to sign up for both!
Our weekly schedule:
Monday–Music
Tuesday–Physical Education (make sure your child has gym appropriate shoes to wear) and STEM Lab
Wednesday–Creative Movement
Thursday–Art and Library
Friday–Art and Health
