(Teaching Activities through Language Knowledge) team taught with Mrs. Swiontek our building Speech Therapist. These activities are Cooperative Learning lessons. |
Teacher Biography
Hello,
My name is Theresa Aldridge and this will be my 32nd year teaching First Graders at East Jackson Elementary School. I attended JCC, Western Michigan University and received my BA from Spring Arbor University. I have been married for 33 years to my husband Darin and we have two sons Tyler and Nicholas. I have two grandsons, Grayson and Camden and one granddaughter, Margot.

Welcome back!!! Hoping to have a great 2021-2022 school year.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my interest and enthusiasm in teaching your child this year. I am looking forward to helping your child grow and learn through many developmental  approaches. With this type of teaching style (learning by seeing, hearing, doing and moving) there is less emphasis on book work and seat work type
activities. However, we will do these types of lessons but, they will not make up the entire portion of my curriculum. Your child will learn at their own rate and pace, and I will do my best to stimulate your child’s growth in every academic area.

Monday- Return Friday folders. No spelling list. Great job on all your tests this year!
Tuesday-Gym day, please remember your gym shoes.
Wednesday- Please return all overdue books or pay for books not returned. If your child has an overdue book, those reminders went home last Tuesday. If you have questions please contact Mrs. Barnard our Librarian.
Thursday-First Grade Pizza Party rooms 104 and 105. No need to pack or order a lunch today.
