Teacher Biography
Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year.
My name is Katie MacGuinness. I am an alumni of East Jackson Schools. I graduated from EJ in 1996. I also graduated from Eastern Michigan University. This is my 21st year teaching and 16th year teaching at East Jackson Schools. I have two children. My daughter Savannah is a Junior at East Jackson Secondary School and my son Jayden is a 6th grader at East Jackson Elementary. We have a dog named Sayde, a cat named Cupcake, and a bunny rabbit named Scooby. I am a fan of Michigan State University, Eastern Michigan University and our family is involved in Hot Air Ballooning. Our family also LOVES Disney and we were blessed to take a family trip their with my siblings and their families and my father this summer. We also love to go camping and do lots of swimming. I am looking forward to working with you and your child. I look forward to a great year with lots of learning.
