From the Principal

Dear East Jackson Students and Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the Principal of East Jackson Middle School. I am honored to work with an extremely dedicated staff and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to have been a part of this school for the past seven years. I am excited to work with your child and be a part of their educational success.

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue to build strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will focus on character education initiatives such Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) along with Math and ELA intervention programs so that we can continue to increase all of our students’ achievement.

We will continue to provide academic experiences for our 7th and 8th grade students that are relevant and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. I believe that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. Students will have the privilege of participating in many extra curricular activities such as sports, robotics, and theater. I am excited to bring my experience, my eagerness to learn, and my student-centered approach to this role. Because relationships between families and the school are key to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. Go Troans!!!
