Teacher Biography

I have been teaching at East Jackson Jackson Schools for 30 years and serve as the ELA department chair. After graduating from Napoleon High School, I attended Saint Mary's Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, where I majored in English Literature and minored in Economics and Education. My M.A. degree is from EMU in English Literature with continuing credits in Education from Marygrove and Ohio Wesleyan (Humanities). My favorite studies include Holocaust education with an emphasis on human rights, humanism, and of course, Shakespeare. I also enjoy teaching dance and theater.

In my spare time I enjoy boating, water skiing, yoga and attending sporting events of all kinds.
