Welcome to the newly designed, East Jackson district website.  The “quick links” on the top of the site are designed to quickly help you find the information that you seek.

At East Jackson Community Schools, we are proud to serve almost 1000 students in K-12.  We are proud of our safe schools, quality programs and our caring community.

Safe Schools

In 2014, the EJ community overwhelmingly supported a bond renovation to renovate the old Middle School as East Jackson Elementary.  Student safety, as well as a comfortable learning environment, were the top priorities in design.  Additional renovations at East Jackson Secondary School improved the gymnasium, office, student commons area, and infrastructure in classrooms.  Each building has modern, secure building entrances with key-card access controls.

Quality Programs

East Jackson continues to lead the way in quality programming for students.  At EJE, our students are provided multiple tiered systems of support for reading, math, and behavior.  At EJSS, our students receive added supports through our weekly TEAM-time.  This allows students with different learning styles, or those starting to fall behind added remediation for targeted subject areas.  We continue to offer one of the area’s best offering of STEM classes through 12th grade.  As a connected community school, we continue to offer Career and Technical Education courses through the Jackson Area Career Center and working to expand our academic college programming with Jackson College and Western Michigan University.

Caring Community

What makes East Jackson stand apart?  The community behind us!  Whether it’s a community event like the Dome Cruise-In, or the Community Caring Dinner, there is a great deal of support for our kids!  EJ students receive an overwhelming amount of local support through college awards and scholarships.
