Teacher Biography

Hello! I'm Brett Hudson and I was born and raised in Jackson and have lived here my entire life. I graduated from East Jackson High School in 2008. I then attended Saginaw Valley State University to pursue my degree in education. This is my fifth year teaching and my fourth with East Jackson. Along with teaching, I am also involved with athletics, as I coach both football and baseball. I am beyond excited to be able to come back and be a part of the East Jackson Community!

Classroom Notes

This semester, we will focus on a variety of topics associated with health. The units we will cover include:

    – What is health and what does it mean?
    – Social and Emotional Health
    – Nutrition and Physical Activity
    – Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs
    – HIV/Aids and Other STI’s
    – CPR/First Aid/AED

Weights and Conditioning

This class is dedicated to improving strength and athletic performance of the students. Students will begin by learning basic exercise physiology in order to understand how and why to train certain muscles and for certain sports. We will then begin to develop workouts that are tailored to improve athletes for their individual sports or athletic goals.

Physical Education 7-12

Students will engage in a multitude of athletic activities throughout the semester that are targeted to promote lifelong fitness. My goal is to present and teach a variety of different activities so all students are presented with the opportunity to participate in something they enjoy.
